Alana Bunte for FORWARD by Elyse Walker lookbook

Online fashion retailer FORWARD by Elyse Walker released its Fall 2013 lookbook. The brand tapped Alana Bunte for the photoshoot and seems like it was an excellent choice. Her edgy beauty perfectly fits into the idea of the lookbook and makes all the presented clothing pieces incredibly desirable.

FORWARD by Elyse Walker Lookbook: Rebel Youth

FORWARD by Elyse Walker is an online retailer that offers a wide range of luxury brands including Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Valentino, Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and many others. Designer apparel, accessories, bags, shoes and jewelry pieces are there to make any lady delightful and full of inspiration. The brand’s fashion director Elyse Walker surely knows what to focus on in order to make her customers satisfied.

Sara M Saric lensed the American model, whereas Stephanie Lingao was responsible for the photoshoot’s style. The newest FORWARD by Elyse Walker lookbook was inspired by the 60s’ counterculture, featuring fur, leather, spikes and studs. Rebel Youth is the title of the lookbook and it speaks for itself. Alana poses against two rusty cans, which create the only background for the photoshoot. Is there any need to come up with an intricate backdrop, when it is both the outfits and the model who do all the talking?

My favorite look of the photoshoot features Alana in a garnet quilted sweatshirt by Stella McCartney, Anthony Vaccarello mini skirt in black and Givenchy booties. I love the eagle applique on the sweatshirt as well as the shark tooth necklace by Givenchy. My guess is, had it been a different model to pose for the brand, the lookbook wouldn’t have appeared to be that tasty and funky. Alana’s androgynous beauty and natural appeal attract and hypnotize, leaving no chance to stay indifferent.

Here is a very grunge outfit for you to enjoy and use as example. Isabel Marant fur jacket in gray was paired with Givenchy black leather pants. Suede Giuseppe Zanotti ankle booties in flan completed the look. That would do it, but the stylist added one more detail that fills the ensemble with an edgy zest. Black leather biker jacket by Pierre Balmain was tied around the model’s waist, adding another layer to the outfit. A pair of black sunglasses by Oliver Peoples was the last touch before the look was ready to be shot.

There is one image that has so much mystique in it, that my eyes, unable to glance away, keep staring at it in a search for a clue. All you see is Alana’s back wrapped in Anthony Vaccarello black sweater, revealing the beauty’s precious skin. It must be that part of her back, uncovered by the V-shaped cut-out, that is so mysterious and captivating. Gorgeous bracelets by Givenchy and Valentino embrace the model’s wrist ad offset the blackness of her outfit. Marc Jacobs leather cap with a huge pin hides Alana’s boy cut, while her manicured hands don’t let us enjoy the fantastic view of her pretty face.

FORWARD by Elyse Walker Fall 2013 Lookbook is a superb manual on style and fashion. If you prefer to walk your own path and follow no one but yourself, this is something to look at and use for your fashion experiments. Browse through the gallery to get a full idea of what Rebel Youth truly means.

I explore the world through the prism of fashion. Fashion is my everything: my universe, my air, my alter ego. I do my best to suit society, but when society does not bother to accept my way - I see no point in climbing up the mountain. It is the same with fashion: if they do not get what you wear, it is not your clothes that are to be trashed.
