We all used to love tales, didn’t we? No matter how many times we listened to our favorite ones, we still insisted on another round of citings by our patient parents. As for me, I had a very bad habit of memorizing the text very quickly and then correcting my mom or dad here and there. Both of them eventually got infuriated and refused to continue. Basically, I was left to myself and, therefore, had to tell the story on my own. Which wasn’t an issue at all, for I loved to talk, even if it was just a bunch of stuffed animals as my audience. Anyway, tales are still very actual nowadays. What we are going to ficus on today is a folk tale fy Free People presented via the brand’s September 2013 lookbook.

Gertrud Hegelund starred in this latest lookbook of the fashion retailer. The Danish model looks absolutely irresistible in a wide range of saucy cltohing pieces.

Sumptuous suede and soft leather strike a balance with heirloom lace and cozy cotton for a season of timeless texture-mixing.

All the looks appear to be super bohemian, which we kind of expect from this brand. Still, there are some surprises that surely delight the fans a lot. A delicate chiffon dress in tea combo looks very adorable. I love the ruffles on the bottom hem as well as the two front pockets, which make this frock quite functional. Plus, it has adjustable sleeves with button tab closure and a V-neckline with tessel drawstrings. What else do I need to add here?

That wasn’t my favorite outfit though. What I fell in love with is a gorgeous ruffled maxi skirt with embellished floral print. To complement the stylish item, Gertrud sports a black leather jacket in a military-inspired cut.

You will also spot a pair of printed overalls in olive, a drop-waist mini dress with rugged fringe, a bright patterned shawl with suede fringe trim and a wooly knit sweater cardigan in dusty plum.

The folk tale retold by Free People is so fascinating and striking that I immediately forgot about all the tales of my childhood. Check out September 2013 lookbook and enjoy your sweet memories!

I explore the world through the prism of fashion. Fashion is my everything: my universe, my air, my alter ego. I do my best to suit society, but when society does not bother to accept my way - I see no point in climbing up the mountain. It is the same with fashion: if they do not get what you wear, it is not your clothes that are to be trashed.
