Gap Spring 2014 Campaign

Gap is among the numerous brands that released their Spring 2014 ad campaigns. However, the label decided to opt for a unique concept in order to attract the clients and fans. Whether it succeeded or not is for you to decide. Gap didn’t tap models to star in its campaign. And it is not about movie stars or famous songstresses. The faces you will spot below are most likely to be unknown to you. And this is what the whole thing is about. Whenever one spots fresh faces, unfamiliar to the general fashion public, one starts wondering what’s so special about these guys that they are featured in the ads. I will tell what is the special thingy. These are the emerging artists – isn’t that unique enough?

Gap Spring/Summer 2014 Ads: New Faces

The new creative director of the brand, Rebekka Bay, has obviously brough an innovative touch to the company. She came up with a very engaging way of presenting the Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The models featured in the photoshoot include two singer-songwriters Birdy and Anna Calbi, actress Julia Garner and photographer Lina Scheynius. I bet you have never heard of these people before. Well, now make sure that you remember the names – who knows, maybe you will bump into them in future.

David Sims lensed the ladies against a very simple studio background. The outfits by Gap seem to be quite simple as well. After all, this is what we love the label for, right? Expect to see the newest campaign in the March issues of the glossy editions. As for now, enjoy the four looks below and draw your conclusions.

I explore the world through the prism of fashion. Fashion is my everything: my universe, my air, my alter ego. I do my best to suit society, but when society does not bother to accept my way - I see no point in climbing up the mountain. It is the same with fashion: if they do not get what you wear, it is not your clothes that are to be trashed.
