I don’t know about you but I also saw a vest as an awkward piece of clothing that is hard to pull off and marry with clothes other than a suit. Well, thanks to years of fashion creativity the vest has become a thing in its own right apart from being a suit piece. Today you can wear it as a dress, a summer trench coat, or a blazer and top in one.

Vera Wang offers two ways to wear a vest – with fancy tulle and as a dress. In first case the tulle and suit-like vest create a nice contrast and a vest dress makes for a cool workwear look.

Speaking of vest dresses, Donatella Versace makes it shorter and more snugly.

Rag & Bone show the white midi-length vest with matching trousers and a low cut. This one can make you look both sexy and presentable depending on styling.
