J.Crew & CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Collaboration
J.Crew and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund are collaborating again, for a third time already, making dreams come true for many aspiring designers. This time the lucky designers, whose collection will be put on sale are the winner of 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund – Greg Chai, founder of The Elder Statesman, and two runners-up Tabitha Simmons and Jennifer Meyerand. Three of their exclusive collections will be on sale from May 22, but we already have the exclusive footage from the lookbooks.

First of all, J.Crew and CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund collaborations are all about promoting young and talented fashion designers that pass through a very tough competition. This not only benefits the designers, but is very good for the collaborating parties as well, as they get to sell exclusive merchandise at affordable prices, which basically means wider target groups. J.Crew is an American multi-brand, multi-channel, specialty retailer, while the Council of Fashion and Designers of America (CFDA) in collaboration with Vogue magazine are working toward creating endowment to support the next generation of America Fashion designers.
This year’s winner and two runners-up are presenting their exclusive collections via J.Crew, starting as of May 22, 2013. However, those who can’t wait that long can sign up on the official J.Crew web page for exclusive collections on May 21, a day before the official start. This year’s collections are rather versatile starting from Tabitha Simmons’ cute Liberty-print sandals to Jennifer Meyer’s dangly earrings. There are also Simmons’ shoes, Meyer’s jewelry, and soft Sea-inspired cashmere sweaters by the Elder Statesman, Greg Chai.
So which one is your favorite designer? Do you like the Simmon’s summer shoes? Or do you prefer the Meyer’s jewelry line? Or maybe you prefer the cashmere clothing by Chai? Do you think that Greg Chai deserves to be a winner of the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund?
