H&M Collection from Sustainable Materials

H&M created a new collection of garments for parties made from sustainable materials entitled Conscious Exclusive for the coming spring 2013 season, which is an addition to the existing Conscious collection. So now we can see where the story with Helen Hunt wearing H&M dress for Oscars 2013 came from, though that exact gown is not included in the collection, which consist of the evening dresses, jumpsuits, elegant accessories for women as well as perfectly tailored suits and shoes for men. The capsule collection includes a range of garments and accessories that are evening-appropriate and intended for both men and women.

The distinctive fact is that each garment in the collection will be made using the environmentally-friendly materials like organic cotton, Tencel and recycled polyamide. The eveningwear line features the combination of the edgy tailoring and classy silhouettes, what allows creating the bold styles like this floor-length gown in the pale pink made from the pure organic polyester and a three-piece ensemble made from organic cotton, which oozes femininity and elegance.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design in H&M, commented on the collection:

I love how this collection has pure glamour and style and is made from more sustainable materials. For us at H&M, it’s natural to think about sustainability and to have it at the heart of our work.

Just in time for the spring season, this collection features the ultimate garments in the light shades with rich detailing and sophisticated design. Besides it offers the range of accessories like the richly embellished box clutch and strappy sandals that are also created using nature-friendly materials.

The Conscious Exclusive range will be available for sale in 140 H&M stores all over the world and online starting from April.
