The Oscars 2013 count down formally started yesterday as the 2013 nominees gathered together for the Oscar Nominees 2013 luncheon in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it is hard to predict the red carpet style at the coming Academy Awards since this time the female celebrities stack to the demure dress code, while males went for the suits along with open shirts.

Anne Hathaway went for the classics wearing the black midi dress by The Row, while Naomi Watts chose the elegant Valentino black dress with embroidery. Amy Adams and Jessica Chastain both went for the dresses with the floral patterns by J Mendel and Erdem, respectively. Jennifer Lawrence in turn appeared in the Chloe white strapless dress from spring summer 2013 collection.

Keep in mind that these celebrity looks are just the appetizer before the main dish- The Oscars, which will take place on February 24, 2013.
