Finally we can see the results of H&M and Maison Martin Margiela’s collaboration in the lookbook that has recently been launched. At the beginning it was just the dress from the capsule that appeared, later the ad campaign was revealed and finally the lookbook was launched.

The H&Mand Margiela’s lookbook features 14 images of women’s and men’s apparel. Some of the most noticeable ones are the handbag in the shape of the glove, white turtleneck coat and a tuxedo-styled jacket without lapels.
The photoshoot of the ad campaign took place on the streets of Paris and was shot by Sam Taylor-Johnson. He also made the series of short videos, which will be demonstrated starting from November 8.

Representative of H&M commented on the lookbook:

“It’s a pleasure to present these re-editions of Maison Martin Margiela to a new audience, to those who were too young to buy the original pieces and those who didn’t have access to Maison Martin Margiela before the days of internet shopping.”

He added:

“Put more simply, our designs will now be available to those who can’t afford our mainline collection. With this collaboration, some of our most iconic archive pieces can become modern classics.”

This H&M and Margiela collection is distinguished with the unique shapes and sophisticated silhouettes, which make signature Margiela’s style. Women’s garments include the oversized masculine jackets, trousers with the baggy fit, outerwear in the origami style and loose-fit dresses. As for the menswear, it features the sharp tailoring with original detailing.
Collection will be available for sale from November 15.
