Spring 2016 Fashion Trends from Milan
We learned a lot from New York and London so now we turn to Milan to show us what to expect from Spring 2016. We’ve seen the same trends there as before and even more. Lots of sheee fabrics, bright colors, and metallics in form of sequins, lurex, and bigger shiny discs. These three trends were all over Milan runways, so we think it’s safe to assume we’ll see a lot more of them on spring market.
White
L to R: Anteprima, Costume National, Alberto Zambelli
White and often times off white color made good portion of some collections. It also popped up here and there on the runway. A total white outfit is perfectly suitable for spring summer season and it can be a dress, a top and skirt ensemble, or a jumpsuit.
Florals
L to R: Blumarine, Dolce & Gabbana, Antonio Marras
Floral prints overwhemled Milan runways. Floral dresses, skirts, and jackets can be seen in too many collections to ignore them. Designers were particularly in favor of large floral prints that make a statement. They paired them with solid brights on nothing at all allowing the prints speak for themselves.
Stripes
L to R: Au Jour Le Jour, Emporio Armani, Blugirl
Stripes were less predominant but made twheir impact and creeped in some collections in more modest ways. Again, big thick stripes seemed to be more prevailing and the majority of them were horizontal.
So how are you liking the Spring 2016 fashion trends so far?
