Free People Capsule Line 2013: 6 Holiday Dresses
I adore capsule collections! For one thing they bring in some kind of alternative to the range of lookbooks and ad campaigns that seem to never end. Also, they provide us with incredible outfits that are usually created in a very small quantity. Which means that the possibility of bumping into a girl wearing the same dress (woman’s most horrible dream) impressively decreases. Plus, it is nice to have only 6 pieces, for example, instead of tons of outfits, with none of them affecting your imagination. In other words, limited collections are very efficient. Let’s check out Free People Holiday line of dresses.
Gorgeous Dresses: Free People Limited Holiday 2013 Collection
Lovely models pose so effortlessly for the photoshoot, that they seem to be unaware of being lensed. I like all the pieces presented in the line – they are both elegant and trendy. Which is sort of a rare case, since what is considered to be elegant, is far from funky, cool amd stylish that all tend to go with trendy.
This time the brand tapped three models, thinking probably of a relative diversity within the photoshoot. Alyssa Miller, Sheila Marquez and Dorothea Barth-Jorgensen all look stunning. And the way they show off the frocks makes my mouth water. Joshua Allen, the photographer, did a great job on transferring the message of the collection through camera.
The price range for the dresses vary from $350 to $650, which is not that bad, taking into account the money we usually spend on unnecessary stuff. After all, when you spot the frocks, you will immediately forget about the price tags.
The images of the new collection were shared by the brand through Pinterest, so the “pinners” basically were the first ones to get the exciting news. Six dresses in romantic style. Six seductive silhouettes that elaborate on men’s imagination, letting them finish the puzzle independently. Six ways to look more beautiful and alluring.
Black and white are the two characters in the story. You will spot five maxi dresses with variations of design as well as one mini frock. It is a black one in lace and tulle, featuring a turtleneck and embroidered hemline of the skirt. A perfect outfit to wear to the party or to office, if paired with colored tights and oxfords.
My favorite one is a gown in black chiffon. The top is emebllished by gold sequins in a pretty large size. The woven straps lead to a huge cut on the back. The flare skirt gives that romantic direction to the dress and the collection overall. I like how the stylist did not add any extra accessories. Just a bunch of bracelets and three rings – that is more than enough.
Free People Capsule collection is totally outstanding. I would like to don something like that. It reminds me of the cool summer nights at the beach, when people care about nothing except their own satisfaction. Check out the gallery and take a look at the photos to see what the line reminds you of.
